At school we are learning how to be a good friend. Since we have had a week with our new school friends, we are learning about how we should treat them. The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister, is a wonderful story about being a friend, being nice, sharing and playing together. We have done guided drawings of fish to see where we are with our drawing and writing skills. We also did a really fun art project where we painted our hands with our favourite colours and made a classroom mural of all our friends and teachers. We decorated our fish with sparkles and googley eyes. We also decided to decorate our mural with neat things we find in the ocean like seashells, sand, seaweed and rocks. As a group we created a beautiful under the sea masterpiece that is displayed in the hallway outside of our classroom. Come by and take a look at our exciting and wonderful work we made with our “sea of new friends”!
