We celebrated Easter together in JK and it was a BLAST!!
We spent time making a variety of awesome art projects including our pom-pom painted egg cards and our egg baskets! They looked beautiful when they were finished and we were excited to show them off!
Take a look at our work:
To continue the celebration, I created an egg hunt for the students that was based on item recognition.
Each child received a sticker with an animal or item and they had to find four eggs hidden in the classroom with that same sticker. If they found an egg with a different sticker they put it back and continued on their hunt. The eggs were EVERYWHERE in JK!!!
We hunted and hunted until everyone had fours eggs in their basket!
We then opened our eggs to reveal the goodies inside and we put on our thinking caps to count, sort and see how many and what different types of goodies we had!
WHAT A BLAST!!!
We had a great time and we were very excited to learn new art techniques with our painting as well as using our math skills to enjoy our treats even more!
Hippity Hoppity Happy Easter!
