Butterfield Acres!!!

Junior Kindergarten has spent some time this past month exploring the great outdoors and experiencing what being a part of a farm would be like at Butterfield Acres! It was a beautiful day and we had an amazing time experiencing whole body learning at the farm. We were encouraged to use all of our senses during our visit and to think of questions we could ask. Some of the things we were excited to discover were:

Why do cows moo?

Why are baby goats called kids?
What is a yak? What does it do?
How do you milk a goat?
What do peacocks sound like?
While discovering and exploring the farm, we got to enjoy feeding the animals, taking a tractor ride around the farm yard on Old Blue, milking goats, petting animals and seeing baby chicks!
We had such a wonderful time and learned so much during our visit!

Enjoy a few photos from our trip to Butterfield Acres on May 20, 2014!
