Spring has sprung in Kindergarten A at River Valley School! This week we have had so much fun learning new things, going to new places and soaking up the warm sun!
For Daily Five we introduced a new Word Work activity called Alphabet Bottles!
Children shake up the Alphabet Bottle and write down the first letter they see, pairing it with a word they can come up with that starts with that letter, and drawing a picture to correspond to that word. Children can do this activity independently or with their peers, assisting each other as needed.
Children also spent valuable time working with their peers this week reading, playing games and building.
Children have been creative with their new hand-crafted Puppet Show Theatre. Engaging with their peers for a glorious opportunity of story telling and fun, using puppets they made and share with their friends.
We were also so thrilled to go on our field trip to Bow View Nursing Home and meet the residents! They put on a lovely Easter egg hunt for us and we even met the Easter Bunny there. We had a blast! It was very special introducing ourselves to the residents, we even sang them a song.
We were also so excited to go through all of our yummy Easter eggs when we got back to school!
Today was also a really fun day filled with celebrations for Spring beak!
We did a journal writing today and a fun Music class with Mrs. Jamie! When we came back to class from Music we were excited to see what was in store for us!
EGGS… EGGS… EGGS… EVERYWHERE!
Can you spot all of the eggs? WE DID!
We were so excited to find them! We found 167 eggs and 16 carrots in our classroom!
We also enjoyed counting all of our goodies with our friends!
What a fabulous and exciting way to start off our Spring Break! Enjoy the time with your friends and loved ones everyone! Happy Easter!
