The bond between a Mother and her child is a precious thing. A very, very precious thing. On Tuesday May 5, Kindergarten A hosted a Mother’s Day Tea for our Mom’s and I got to witness how incredible this bond can be. The love in the room, the amount of laughter, hugs and kisses, was truly heartwarming! I even had my beautiful Mom join us for the wonderful celebration!
The students were so excited to set up our classroom for our Mom’s with strawberries, cookies, ice tea and our beautiful gifts!
Once the Mom’s arrived, the children held their Mom’s hand, escorting them to our classroom. They had them sit in their spots, they served them tea and ensured they had enough cookies and strawberries to munch on!
The kids absolutely LOVED drinking tea and eating snacks with their moms.
It was absolutely precious!
The kids were thrilled to give their Moms their gift: a beautiful hand-made mug with tea and a bookmark! The bookmark also featured an acrostic poem, written by the students themselves!
I think it’s safe to say that the students moms enjoyed their gifts 🙂
We ended our tea with a beautiful interview video that the students made with me. This video showcased the students talking about their moms and answering questions about them. Some of my favourite answers to the following questions were:
When Does Your Mom Look the Prettiest?
“When she is wearing high heels”
“When she wears her glasses”
“When she goes to bed, she has the most beautiful bedtime clothes”
“When she brushes her hair”
What is Your Mom’s Favourite Thing to Do?
“Sweep the floors”
“Take me to my parties”
“Vacuum”
Why is Your Mom So Special?
“Because she kisses me”
“Because she cuddles me”
“Because she does the pig laugh, she laughs like this hahahahah snort snort hahahah snort”
It was such a phenomenal day!
Happy Mother’s Day Everyone!

That is so awesome. I’m sure the moms just loved it. I love your gift idea and the video sounds hilarious!
